Radical Simplification Created This Minimalist Washbasin
Designed for Mantova, Italy-based Agape, Benedini Associati has developed its own minimalist interpretation of a washbasin, named Ell. Influenced by Bruno Munari’s thought “Da cosa nasce cosa” (“What will come from what”), the washbasin has absent through a system of radical simplification exactly where nearly anything that was not contributing to the performance of the piece was taken absent. What’s still left are two architectural factors that redefine the thought of the everyday washbasin.
The extended, freestanding faucet curves over the basin, which is built-in with an aeration grid. The surface area of the washbasin also acts like a countertop to hold cleaning soap and other objects. The attract of the Ell washbasin is its pure and straightforward variety that also highlights the specifics of the product. The washbasin is obtainable in a range of various finishes, which includes white or dark powder-coated steel for the column white Carrara, grey Carnico, or black Marquina marble and white or deep caviar Corian for the top and grill.
